Looe Carnival is taking place this year from 28 July – 2 August 2025 (Furry Dance 28 July & Carnival Procession 2 August).
As part of the longstanding tradition of the Carnival week in Looe, three local primary school age children are chosen to be the Carnival Royalty and take part in the Furry Dance procession and the Carnival procession.
Our aim was to have a fair and unbiased selection process as the applicants will be judged purely on the information written about their reasons for wanting to represent their town as a member of the Looe Carnival Royalty.
We are pleased to announce the opening for applications to become Carnival Royalty for this year. The chosen royalty will represent Looe at the Furry Dance on 28 July and the Carnival Procession on 2 August. Look out for them travelling by Tuk Tuk on both evenings.
To enter please download the application form from here and email an image of the completed form to carnival@looelions.co.uk by the closing date of 30th May 2025. All applicants will be contacted after the closing date to confirm if they have been successful or unsuccessful.
Any unsuccessful candidates (and their family) with be offered free entry into the Carnival Family Fancy Dress Treasure Hunt on Friday August 1st.
