We are pleased to announce the start of the Carnival Royalty choosing process for 2026 with the Royalty being announced by Friday 5th June. (Please look out for updates on our Facebook page)

As part of the longstanding tradition of the Carnival week in Looe, three local primary school age children are chosen to be the Carnival Royalty and take part in the Furry Dance procession and the Carnival procession. The Carnival Royalty may also be asked to attend other events in Looe such as the Lantern Procession at Christmas.

Our aim was to have a fair and unbiased selection process as the applicants will be judged purely on the information written about their reasons for wanting to represent their town as a member of the Looe Carnival Royalty.
